| COPD is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, (chest conditions such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema). DM is diabetes, and IHD is ischaemic heart disease, (angina and those who have had heart attacks). Active asthma stands for those people with asthma who have needed a prescription for their condition in the last 12 months. CCF is congestive cardiac failure, a form of heart disease 65+ is all those over the age of 65 | |||

The government set a target for the winter of 2002 for flu vaccinations. We were asked to immunise at least 65% of all our patients over the age of 65, and ideally 70%. We immunised 72% of people over the age of 65, 549 out of the 761 in this age group. In 2003 we were not successful despite putting in the same effort.
